Associate Attorney
We are Salmon Bay Law Group, a woman-owned neighborhood law firm in Seattle, Washington. Our bright, attractive law offices are located in the Canal Place office park on Nickerson Street, near the Fremont Bridge.

Requirements:
- J.D. from an accredited law school and Washington State Bar membership in good standing
- Five years of experience working as an attorney
- Highly reliable, detail-oriented, organized, and resourceful
- Strong communication skills, both written and spoken
- Work well on a team and enjoy learning new skills
- Strong interest in practicing in estate planning, probate, and/or elder law
- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook)
- Compassionate, kind, and dedicated to helping people in need
Desirable:
- Some experience in the areas of estate planning, probate, and/or long-term care planning
- Interest in working with senior clients
- Experience in a related practice area, including real estate, business, and/or tax law
Schedule: At least 25 hours per week to start, with potential to expand. Hybrid remote/in-office position. Expect to be in the office at least three days per week, Tuesday through Friday. Hours can flex somewhat.
Compensation: Competitive salary and bonus structure. Benefits after 90 days trial period include four weeks paid time off, unpaid leave to accommodate additional travel and holiday time, paid bar dues and CLEs, and free parking. Health benefits and retirement plan may be available in the future for full-time staff members.
Attorney Duties: Our associate attorney will perform a broad range of tasks across the firm’s practice areas, depending upon firm need. We are a small law firm, and while we have support staff, our attorneys also help with administrative work when needed.

Legal Assistant / Paralegal
We seek a kind, reliable, detail-oriented individual to support our administrative needs. Our assistant must be highly organized and resourceful, work well on a team, and enjoy learning new skills. Our assistant will support our attorneys and also take responsibility as a key person within the firm.
Schedule: Part-time, 20-32 hours per week to start, with potential to expand. Hybrid remote/in-office position, with in-office days to be negotiated.
Compensation: $25 – $40/hour, depending on experience; benefits after 90 days include paid time off and transportation assistance.
Knowledge and Skills Required: Our assistant will perform a broad range of administrative and office management tasks for the law firm.
- Impeccable communication skills, both written and spoken; attention to detail; and knowledge of Office 365 (including Word and Outlook) are required. Knowledge of law-firm operations is a plus but not required.
- Tasks may include, among others: handling routine client communications; preparing final legal documents for signing and/or filing; filing documents online with the courts and county recorders; organizing paper and data files; assisting with invoicing; maintaining calendars and tracking deadlines; restocking office supplies; assisting with drafting projects; and arranging and witnessing at document signings.
