Bio

Sharon Rutberg is the managing attorney at Salmon Bay Law Group. Sharon enjoys helping individuals and couples find the relief that comes from having important estate documents in place. She understands the stress that accompanies the death of a loved one or a family member’s need for expensive long-term care. Her goal is to help clients navigate these critical life challenges, with a focus on achieving financial stability, quality of life, and peace of mind.

Sharon is a member of the Real Property, Probate & Trust (RPPT) and Elder Law Sections of the Washington State Bar Association and King County Bar Association. She is a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA) and the Washington Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (WAELA).

Sharon graduated from Swarthmore College with honors and the Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law, where she served on the Law Review and received the Order of the Coif (top 10%) cum laude. She practiced corporate and government law in Washington, D.C., before heading west to Seattle and redirecting her practice to serve individuals and families. As a D.C. lawyer, Sharon worked for Wilmer, Cutler & Pickering (now WilmerHale), the U.S. State Department, and the Office of the White House Counsel.

When she is not practicing law, Sharon enjoys walking her dogs, reading, and spending time with her husband and adult children.
